My memories of Hilary were of a quiet shy girl as she started her career. She quickly adjusted to her working life and changed very quickly into a "Teddy Girl" with a bubble cut hairstyle with blond kiss curles, tight black skirts, every colour you could think of shirt blouses and stiletto heels. Brian of course was a "Teddy Boy"  with  DA hairstyle and suits with velvet collars and long jackets. They loved dancing and went to a Bill Haley concert at the Gaumont cinema jiving  in the aisles to Rock around the Clock one of her favourite songs.

They married young Hilary beautiful in her lovely lace ballerina dress, a tiny gentle girl, my sister, now at last happy with Brian.
